How often is market data updated?
Live prices stream in real-time via Yahoo Finance API with 5-minute caching. TradingView charts on instrument pages provide tick-by-tick data. The ticker bar and market cards update every 60 seconds automatically.
Signals & Analysis
How are trading signals generated?
Signals are produced by our technical analysis engine combining RSI(14), MACD(12,26,9), SMA(20/50), Bollinger Bands(20,2), and ATR(14). Each indicator votes BUY/SELL; confidence starts at 50% and adjusts based on agreement. No ML/AI - pure mathematical TA.

What do the signal types mean?
Strong Buy = 3+ more buys than sells, Buy = 1-2 more buys, Neutral = equal, Sell = 1-2 more sells, Strong Sell = 3+ more sells. Confidence % reflects indicator agreement level.

How do I save favorite instruments?
Click the star icon (☆) on any market card or instrument page. Favorites are stored in your browser's localStorage and appear in your Dashboard. No account required for favorites.

Do I need an account to use Forexmap?
No. All market data, charts, signals, calendar, and analysis are free without login. Account only needed for: Dashboard favorites persistence across devices, and future premium features.
Data Sources
Where does the market data come from?
Real-time prices via Yahoo Finance v8 API (query1.finance.yahoo.com). Charts powered by TradingView Lightweight Charts and TradingView Widget. Economic calendar uses static data (manual updates).
